September was my month to host Bunco at our house.
Chris was out of town for the week, so I called Didi to see
if Reed could come spend the night in Duncan.
We met in Tunica Thursday, and Reed was so excited.
The whole way to Tunica, all he could talk about was
all the combines and tractors that he was seeing in the
fields. He told me he wanted to ride on a combine, so
I told him to tell Didi when he saw him. Let's just say
he let Didi know he wanted to ride on a combine!
When they got to Duncan, Didi took him for a ride
on a combine, which Reed thought was very cool!
They also collected some rice that Reed got to
bring home with him. (Thanks a lot Didi. What a mess!)
Joni searched high and low for some of Jeff's old toys
while Reed was there. She found a huge barn set
and a train set. They said Reed played for hours.
He loved pouring the rice in the wagon.
experienced that at our house too. Let's just
say the rice is hard to get up!
Since we were taking Reed to Disney on Ice Friday
night, they decided to get him prepared for the event.
They watched The Lion King over and over. My dad
made sure to explain every part of the movie to him.
While he did that, Joni went on a hunt for some Lion
King toys, which she found!
Reed was one excited little boy until it was time to leave. I have never seen him so upset about a toy. He talked about wanting a Simba all day Friday. I prayed that Disney on Ice would have a Simba for sale. Thank goodness they did or else we might have never heard the end of it! He has taken his stuffed Simba everywhere with him since last Friday!
