Labor Day Weekend

We had a busy but wonderful weekend spent
with family. Saturday morning, we met the
Houstons in Fulton, then headed to Birmingham.
Reed brought his small football and decided
to play with it as soon as we got out of the car.
Well, Peyton got his bigger football out of the car,
and Reed was hooked! He held onto that football
for the rest of the night. He even slept with it!

The boys taking a break from playing football
for a quick photo op:

Early Sunday morning, we packed up and headed
to Bear Creek. Reed was so excited about going
out on a boat that he talked about it the whole way.
Reed & Momma checking out the fishing pole

He was ready to fish!

He is the cutest little fisherman I've ever seen!

Reed made the first catch of the day...a big tree branch!

This seat was Reed's favorite seat on the boat.

Look at me Momma!

It didn't take him long to take off his shirt!

Telling Momma that he sees some fish!

Peyton trying to reel in a big one. I love the
facial expression!

Reed was in Heaven.

Showing us some dance moves.

Pop was eating some boiled peanuts and was
sweet to share with Reed. At one point, Reed
grabbed a peanut out of the cup and tried to put
the WHOLE thing (including the shell) in his mouth!

"Where'd the fish go?"

Late Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Shoals Marriott.
The Houstons came along for the fun, and Grandaddy, Nana,
Jack, and Kirk met up with us.

Reed couldn't wait to get into the pool!

The water was freezing but that didn't stop him.

He loved the fountains.

Where'd Reed go?

Doing his Baywatch run.

Showing Uncle Jack how good he can swim.

Daddy & Reed going down the water slide.

Here they come...

He adored the slide.

We had one happy little boy.

Uncle Jack splashing Daddy & Reed.

Look at him jump!

Peyton, Daddy, Jack & Kirk doing the watermelon roll.

Going down the slide again.

Daddy was a good sport to get in that cold water with Reed.

Sunday night, Reed couldn't wait to go to the playground.
He played his little heart out. We thought he
was going to play in the fountains, but he told me
that he wanted to "play in the blue water."
So, we let him play in that cold water!

He didn't last very long. He ran up to me and
told me that he needed a towel. He was cold
and worn slap out!

Later that night, the Marriott did a fantastic fireworks
show. Reed was so excited at first, but then they did a
bunch of fireworks all at once. He wasn't too crazy about
the loud noise, so we watched the rest from his bed.
Monday morning, he woke us up at 7:00 ready to party!
He couldn't wait to get back into the water for more action.

Grandaddy, Knox, Nana, Daddy & Reed

We had a great weekend but were all worn out
by the time we got home!

A wonderful, fantastic bunch of pics, I felt like I was there. I have had such a good time looking at all of them and I studied every expression and decided that everyone smiled all the time. Why not?
