About a week ago, we received a flyer in the mail about a new Toys R' Us & Babies R' Us store opening in Memphis. In the flyer, it said that Iron Man and some other characters would be making an appearance at the grand opening. Well, that's all Reed needed to see...He asked us every day when he was going to meet Iron Man. Saturday was finally here, so we packed up and headed to the new store!
Reed was so excited. He asked me if Iron Man had flown to the store...funny kid! He couldn't wait to meet the "real" Iron Man.
Holding Daddy's hand while walking towards Iron Man.

It's Iron Man, and what does Reed do.....

HIDES his face!!!
I must admit though, I think I'd have been a little intimidated by this Iron Man too!

This is the best picture we could get. He wouldn't talk to Iron Man, but he liked to walk by every now and then and check him out. If any other characters came down the
aisle he was on, he would turn and walk the other way.

Daddy showing us Reed's Iron Man autograph.

Chase's turn to get his picture made.

He looked at Iron Man like
"What are you wearing? What's the big deal with this guy, Dad?"
This weekend, Chase said his "true" first word. What was it? "
Dada!!!" Of course, it made Daddy's weekend. Chase is so proud of himself too. He'll go around saying "Dada, Dada, Dada..."
We're working on mama, and Reed is such a big helper. He'll go up to Chase and say "Chase say mama, dada, Reed, baba, bye bye!" He'll even say it really slow for Chase. He really is an amazing big brother.
Chase has fallen in love with the Cozy Coupe. He can actually make it go across our deck, but we have to watch him very carefully because he'll sometimes slide out of the bottom.

Yesterday, Chase was taking his afternoon nap, and I heard him start giggling. I went into his room and saw this sweet face:

Daddy moved his crib down about two weekends ago, but he's still able to stand up and see out. Chase has become quite the little cruiser. He loves to walk from one side of the couch to the other side and has started doing it while only holding on with one hand. He's getting very brave and will hold onto a chair with one hand, take a step, then grab another chair. Yesterday, he kept cruising from one side to the other side in his crib. He'll let go with both hands and stand for just a minute before sitting down.
Since I had my camera handy, Reed decided he needed to get in the picture too. So, he crawled in the crib and said, "Cheese!"

Our big boys...

Reed has learned so many songs as school. He sings for us every day. His favorite is the ABC song. Here's a video of Reed singing:

I LOVE it!!! When we took you to Disney World, you couldn't WAIT to meet Captain Hook. But when you saw him, lol, that was it! You didn't want that man anywhere near you! Caroline had NO fear.
Of course, you didn't either when it came to Space Mountain!
