Chase's 1st Trip to the Zoo

Saturday was Chase's 7 month birthday and Gran's 84th birthday, so we went to the Zoo to celebrate. We couldn't have chosen a better day because the weather was perfect!

Riding in style
We couldn't believe how close to the window the gorilla was sitting, but as you can tell, neither one of my boys were interested in the gorilla.

They were very interested in the monkeys. All of the monkeys were yelling back and forth to each other and swinging from their ropes. Just about every monkey exhibit was participating in the yelling. It was very neat because we've never seen them do that before.

Chase wasn't quite sure what to think about this.

He just enjoyed being outside and riding with his big brother.

There was one polar bear, who was very entertaining. He made the exact same laps over and over. He would put his face right next to Reed's head, but I couldn't ever capture it on camera. He went too fast!

Chase went on his 1st carousel ride.

Reed loved riding on the carousel. He and Gran would wave to everyone.

Gran took Reed to see the BIG snake. They were smart and didn't get too close.

Reed asked all day to ride the train. When we finally made it to the train, he was SO excited.

We attempted to get a picture of Gran with both of her boys, but Chase was more interested in trying to touch Reed.

We couldn't leave the Zoo without seeing Reed's favorite exhibit: Tigers & Lions

This is a video of Chase on his first carousel ride. It isn't the best video because I was trying to hold him and record at the same time. Of course, as soon as I cut the camera off, he started smiling and squealing with delight.
