Reed's First Pet

Reed got his very first pet yesterday. Ever since he started watching Finding Nemo, he's been pretty obsessed with fish. After our visit to the Aquarium, his obsession for fish grew even more. So, we thought a fish would be a perfect first pet for Reed!

Well, we went to Petco and picked out his fish. He had so much fun looking at all the fish. We decided to get a Beta because they are very low maintenance. He found one that was his favorite color...BLUE! At first, Reed started calling him Nemo, but when we got home, he just referred to him as Fish. So, his name at this point is undetermined.

He wasn't in the mood for pictures. Can you tell?

He knew the fish was supposed to go in the bowl,

so he decided to put him in the bowl.

And yes; he dropped him in there! The good news is that the fish is still alive!

We got a cool glow in the dark plant for his fish.

The fish's new home is in Reed's room. This morning when he woke up, he said "there's the fish."

He did really good. He would pick up one pellet at a time and drop it in the bowl.

He was quite proud of himself too!

He kept telling me that there was a fish. He loves to say "Fish scary!" He says scary so cute too!
