Kindergarten

Reed is officially in Kindergarten now!  We had Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 13.  Reed was so excited to go to school and see who all was going to be in his class.  His first day of Kindergarten was Tuesday, August 14th.  He woke up at 7:15 that morning.  By 7:30, he was asking when we were going to leave.  He was super excited.  The first two days have been a huge success.  He loves his teacher, he loves the friends in his class and so far, he loves Kindergarten!!!

The card that his teacher, Ms. Lucesita, mailed to him this summer.

He has grown up so much.

Reed and his friend Addie.

Reed's teacher LOVES M&M's.  Her whole room is decorated with M&M decor.
This M&M's name is Mr. Peanut.  If Reed's Green M&M stays in the dispenser each week, he gets to get a prize out of Mr. Peanut every Friday.

Reed showing us his cubby.  He was so excited because his M&M man was his favorite color, RED!
Showing us his new bag for school.

Ms. Lucesita gave Daddy & Mommy some homework on Monday night. Our homework was to write a message to Reed on a heart, so she could read it to him during circle time on his first day of Kindergarten. I LOVED this idea!
Dressed & ready for his 1st Day!
His name tag was red too!  Ms. Lucesita has gotten many brownie points in his book!

In the car rider line...He was SO excited!

After Chase and I picked him up from school, we headed to the Pueb to celebrate!

Reed will have homework every night.  His first homework assignment was to write his name 4 times.

Reed has a folder that he brings home every Monday that we will return every Thursday.  In this folder is a list of Sight Words that he will learn this year.  He will be tested every Thursday on the sight words for each week.  We've been working really hard this summer learning some sight words.  Here's a short video of him saying some of the words from the folder that he already knows.  My phone will only let me email short videos, so this video only shows him saying half of the words he knows.
