9 Months Old

Chase turned 9 months old last Thursday. This post is long overdue, but unfortunately, the Gapen household has been under the weather. Chase started getting sick on Thursday and is still not 100% better. So, please excuse the snotty nose and red eyes. He didn't feel good at all, but he still managed to turn on his charm, especially for chocolate!

Chase is quite the little entertainer in our house these days. He is literally into everything. If you want to see him crawl as fast as he can, walk towards the stairs or open the bathroom door! He has mastered crawling up the stairs and tries to crawl up them as often as he can. He also adores the toilet, as I have mentioned before. Reed is such a big helper because he has learned to close the bathroom door if Chase is around, and he always lets us know if Chase is close to the stairs.

Here are some other things that Chase loves:

~ Balls.

~ Reed's hair. If he can reach it, he's pulling it and laughing in the process.

~ Tearing up magazines.

~ All of Reed's toys.

~ Reed's sippy cup, basically anything that he isn't supposed to have.

~ Water bottles.

~ Cabinets and Drawers. He loves to open and close things.

~ Door stoppers.

~ Taking baths, especially if his big brother joins him!

One thing he can't stand is Puffs! Have you ever met a baby that didn't like Puffs! If you give them to him, he will throw them on the ground or spit them out. He loves to feed himself anything, especially bread, but he will not eat Puffs!

We made mini chocolate molten cakes to celebrate his birthday. It was very difficult to get a picture of Chase looking at the camera because all of his attention was focused on the chocolate cake in front of him! (He is definitely my son!)
